Day 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63

I'm very far behind in posting these up.  Fatherhood is definitely making things busier.  I missed a few days so far, but I'm still gonna keep going.  Anyway, here are some to slowly catch up

Day 57 - veggies
This is spinach, tomatoes, and onions in the bottom right corner.

Day 58 - hello
More baby pics!

Day 59 - bounce
Thought this looked kinda cool.  Bouncer.

Day 60 - smiley

Day 61 - strikeapose
She's kinda striking a pose.  Not really, but kinda.  Close enough.

Day 62 - hmm
Not a whole lot to say here.  Another pic of my daughter.

Day 63 - birds
Took some pics of birds eating some fruit from our backyard trees.

Day 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56

Ok, so I've been slacking, but I have a good excuse.  My daughter decided she couldn't wait to be born, and came 2 weeks early.  So you are gonna notice a theme here.

Day 46 - magnets
Was a little unsure of what to do for this picture so I decided to take a picture of our magnets.  My wife and I collect magnets as souvenirs whenever we visit a different city/country/tourist spot.  Unfortunately this photo looks crooked.  I think I took it at an angle.  Oh well.

Day 47 - icecup
So in the morning, my wife told me she was feeling some back pain.  She called the doctor and he said to see how it progresses.  I went to work, and by the time I got home, it was on.  We started timing the contractions and a bit later we headed to the hospital.  Here is the picture of her ice chips.  You can see the IV sticking out of her arm, sorry if that grosses you out.

Day 48 - daddy
I am now a father, a daddy, a pops.  Don't think there is much else to say.  Exciting!

Day 49 - white
The next few days I stayed at the hospital.  Sara is her name.  She is the main reason I bought the camera in the first place.  So it's only fitting that I take a ton of pics of her.  :)

Day 50 - lolwat
This picture just cracks me up.

Day 51 - goinghome
Sara is going home and ready to go in her car seat.

Day 52 - chillin
She's chillin while I am holding her.

Tried to take some newborn photos and I got lucky with a smile.

Day 55 - boiling
Boiling a pot of water with some pasta for dinner.

Day 56 - branches
Had a bit of snow the last few days.

Day 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45

Five days behind, but finally caught up.  Just realized every picture is taken with the 85mm.  I love this lens.

Day 36
Super Bowl Sunday.  Got a pizza.  Took a picture of the pizza.


Day 37
Definitely losing steam.  Have to get out of work earlier for some outside shots while there is still light out.  For now, here's my ghetto "studio"


Day 38
Officially 20 days left before the due date.  We have been decorating the nursery in preparation.  Here's a wall decal which I put up above the crib.

Day 35

I am a bit behind because I took a bunch of pictures this weekend and am lazy about processing them.  I went to the BAPS temple which is pretty close to my house.

Edited it again, I think this looks better.

Day 33 and 34

Day 33.  Messed around with off camera flash and wanted to play with some lighting.

So...  I mentioned that I bought the 85mm.  I received it today.  First shot was with my Tammy.

Day 30

Day 30.  Had to return the 85mm today.  Went during lunch and took some shots of my coworker.  Good news is I've decided to buy the 85mm now.  LOL.

Day 26, 27, 28, and 29

Been a bit slow on updating the blog, but have been taking the pictures.  I rented an 85mm f/1.8 for the weekend so I had some fun.  Also, I've been slowly getting my my lighting "studio" set up.

Day 26.  This isn't necessarily the best photo, but it looked like my cat was giving me the finger.  So I went with it.  Broke out the nifty fifty for a change.


Day 27.  Like I said, I rented the 85mm f/1.8 for the weekend.  Took this at my friend's dry cleaners.  I like the colors.


Day 28.  Got some white seamless paper in the back, gelled Yongnuo 560 flash guns for the blue effect.  And my wife at 8 months.
 

Day 29.  Went out to downtown Glen Ellyn and took a picture of the cinema marquee sign.  Added some processing to give it that old look.

Day 20, I took a picture at a red light of the snow truck next to me on my way home from work.  That was not a fun drive.


Day 21, took a picture of my shoes on the treadmill.  Played with some off camera flash.

Day19

Just got an umbrella and light stand for my ghetto studio lights.  Decided to take a self portrait.  Still learning.

BORING!  This is the steel art on our living room wall.  Flash on cam, bounced on ceiling.

Day 17

I got this as a gift when I was a teaching assistant almost 10 years ago.  It's a kaleidoscope.  Pooh is the subject.  First picture done in Lightroom 4.

Day 16

Just took this randomly through my front window.  It ended up looking kinda cool so I figured I'd use it for my day 16.  Definitely starting to struggle with the creativity.

Day 15

Nothing special, just my headphones, and my somewhat forgotten Canon PowerShot SD800 IS.

Day 13 and 14

Was busy the last couple of days.  I did manage to take some pics, but didn't have time to upload them.  So I'm still chugging along, although day 13 was definitely a close one.  Fortunately, I took a pic as I was leaving for work in the morning from my car.  Saw a neighbor shoveling the snow and thought it might be a good pic, and it turned out ok, I think.  I left some of my dashboard in view, for a perspective effect.



Next up, for day 14, we have the cake from the baby shower.  It was made by the local bakery near our house, Sauers.  Was pretty tasty too.
